I’ll be speaking at the TIM Talks this Saturday afternoon at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria if any of you are interested in attending. On what I’ll be speaking, like any sermon, is a matter for Friday.
Tickets are/may be still available.
Modeled off the popular TED Talks, the TIM (Together in Mission) is an event with multiple speakers given 18 minutes to give a talk about the best idea they have for the future ministry of the Church in the 21st century.
That somehow my input would be invited just adds to my woeful cynicism about the future of the Church. Nonetheless, I’d love to see a familiar face in the audience. You might just hear something profound…from one of the many, more distinguished speakers.
It’s sponsored by the Metro DC Synod of the Lutheran Church, just adding to the mystery of my invite.
